High/Low 11.30.06
hey there folksies..
I know i know.. it's been over a month.. what to say?? i've just been ...
ok.. i have no excuse.. i surely still spend enough stinky time in front of the computer.. you'd think i'd find some time to write.
especially since i just saw the movie "The Story of Us" again.. which my roomie from WVU, Lisa.. and I got the idea for the High/Low...
anyway... enough of that.. i haven't written.. and that's that...
So my thought for today is:
Why does Christmas music make me cry? Yesterday it was a rendition of "The Little Drummer Boy" but I break out into tears.. and I can't figure it out..... I think maybe it reminds me of a simpler time.. a time without stressors of Bills.. and the fun of not having responsiblity of who goes where on Christmas eve/christmas day.. when the thought of NOT putting up a christmas tree was NOT even an option... And you were in front of the TV when Rudolph and Charlie Brown were celebrating the season.. even though you've been watching it every year since your first breath (depending on ya'lls age) I think that's why.. and we're reminded even BEFORE thanksgiving that things are NOT that way anymore... they are not as simple.. or as pretty.. or as fun either.. sadly to admit.. We take little glimpses of happiness.. where we can.. but that's why.. I think.. I cry when I hear Alvin and the Chipmunks sing that high pitched tune...
That's it for now..
Happy Beginning of the Holidays
